Introduction and need of Chief Minister Kanya Sumangala Yojana
India’s social fabric is inherently complex and sensitive. Social, religious, educational, and familial conditions have been discriminatory against women and girls since time immemorial.
Social evils and discrimination, such as female child marriage, and negative family attitudes toward girls, girls and women are often deprived of their fundamental rights to life, protection, health, and education.
Efforts are ongoing at both government and non-government levels to address these social evils. Efforts are also being made. · In this context, the Uttar Pradesh Government is taking a new initiative in the form of the Chief Minister’s KanyaSumangala Yojana, which is extremely necessary.
The state government is launching this scheme to provide girls and women with social security as well as new opportunities for development.
This will strengthen efforts to curb social evils like female foeticide and child marriage, while also providing girls with opportunities to pursue higher education and employment. Women’s empowerment is a commitment of the current Uttar Pradesh Government.

Chief Minister Kanya Sumangala Yojana will be implemented in 6 categories as follows
First Term: – Newborn girl children born on or after 01/04/2019 will be benefited with a lump sum amount of Rs. 5000.00.
Second Term: – Those girl children who have been vaccinated against Seronegative bacteria within one year and were born not earlier than 01/04/2018 will be benefited with a lump sum amount of Rs. 2000.00.
Third Term: – Those girl students who have taken admission in Class 1 during the current academic session will be benefited with a lump sum amount of Rs. 0.3000.00.
Fourth Term:- Those girl students who have taken admission in class VI during the current academic session will be benefited with a lump sum amount of Rs. 0.3000.00.
Fifth Term:- Those girl students who have taken admission in class 9th during the current academic session will be benefited with a lump sum amount of Rs. 0.5000.00.
Sixth Term:- All girls who have passed 10th/12th class and have taken admission in Graduation Degree or at least two year Diploma during the current academic session will be benefited with a lump sum amount of Rs. 7000.00.
