Admission Reservation : KVS Admission Online Form 2026-27

For all new admissions in Kendriya Vidyalayas, seats are reserved as follows

15% for Scheduled Castes (SC) 5% for Scheduled Tribes (ST) 27% for Other Backward Classes (OBC – Non-Creamy Layer) For the category of Physical Handicap (PwBD), 3% of the total available seats in new admissions will be horizontally reserved. More Eligibility Details Read the Notification.

Eligibility Criteria : KVS Admission Online Form 2026-27

Admission in Classes 10th and 12th

Admission of students from schools other than Kendriya Vidyalayas into Classes 10 and 12 will be considered only if vacancies exist. In such cases, the Principal of the concerned Kendriya Vidyalaya will consider admission only when the average class strength is less than 40 students. The following eligibility conditions will apply for such admissions: a) The child must have studied the same curriculum from a CBSE-affiliated school. b) For admission to Class 10, the student must have secured at least 55% marks in Class 9 examination. c) For admission to Class 12, the student must have secured at least 55% marks in Class 11 examination. d) The student must be eligible in all respects as per Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan admission guidelines. e) The subject combination chosen by the student must be available in the concerned Kendriya Vidyalaya. f) These new admissions will be applicable only In Civil/Defence sector Kendriya Vidyalayas for Priority Categories I and II, and In Project/Institutes of Higher Learning sector Kendriya Vidyalayas for Priority Categories I to III.
